How much do fill you tank before heading out. I seldom put over half of a tank (60 gallon tank) unless it will be a multi day trip.

I also don't put gas in the boat until the day before the trip.

I know some guys that never leave the dock without a full tank and fill the tank back up on the way home.

Which is your preference? Just curious.

I never leave the landing without a full tank. Granted I have a very small tank of 8 gallons.

I have a 40 gallon tank and always start with a full tank.
I have burned an entire tank one day last summer.
Usually on use about 1/4 tank a trip or less unless we have to run to find fish.

We have a 80gal tank I believe and always have it filled before we go out. Usually it's a weekend at the camp though

I have an 18gal tank. Usually fill up when I go. Some times I may burn 1/4 to 1/2. Not sure how to handle storing over the winter with ethenol fuel in it though

Seems I am out of the norm then. I don't like the extra weight in the boat and I don't like a lot of left over gas sitting up. Although half of a 60 gallon tank is lot for me. I generally can fish all day with a good bit of running and only use a quarter tank.

It really just depends on how far you plan on run and how large the tank is.

I fish nearly year round and run a bunch...with that said, I always fill up after every trip (60 gallon tank). I belive that it makes it less likely to have condensate build up and reduces the chance of ulitmately getting a lot of water in the fuel.

I have no proof that it's the right thing to do, but I buy whatever gas I want (ethanol or not) and have never had any problems. With that said, Yamaha says up to E10 is ok on my motor so it shouldn't matter.

I have a 90 gallon tank and always keep it full. I have always been told that keeping a full tank keeps the water out of the fuel. I also keep Stabil in my tank and nock on wood I haven't had water in my fuel before.

To me it's more of a safety/emergency need to always have it full. The savings from only starting with a half take are minimal in comparison to running out of fuel.

Fill before and fill after. The only time any of my boats are less than full is out fishing.

Usually always fill up on the way back home so when next time comes that's one less thing to do.I also keep Stabil and Seafoam in every tank in case i don't go for a few weeks.

Depends on the trip. Usually, it's just half a tank.

full tank and i store the boat with a full tank. You will get less condensation with a full tank and that is even more important if you are using gas with ethanol. Even with easy to reach spin on fuel filters water is a problem sometimes.

In a humid climate, this is true.
