I honestly feel really good about getting Edwards. Reading his scout article, he has a lot of great things to say about LSU and is VERY impressionable with his visits, thus why he committed to FSU when he did.

Seeing a game at LSU against a team that LSU fans despise a little less than Bama? Probably the best weekend for a recruit to visit for

So glad to hear that the murder post was a joke. I was talking to an operator after calling 911 and by then I read the rest of the thread and realized it was just a joke. whew!

The pussification of America continues! Have you ever considered becoming a ref?

same here, but if we were to land him and Ward, I don't think there would be any way we take a DT, which would be fine with me, but some ranter would go off on it

finish with:
Collins
Edwards
Ward
Brown
Alford

thats my ideal 5

"I refuse to get my hopes up for him or Channing Ward"..........Yeah no kidding. Channing's brother is presently on the roster at Ole Miss. The kid wouldn't say a word about where he might be leaning while on his official this past weekend which really isn't a very good sign. I'm thinking maybe he's a bit sore over the fact that Quan Bray burned him in an interview a few weeks back saying that Ward was probably going to LSU. Edwards lives 30 mins north of Dallas and about 2 1/2 hrs from Norman(BR in contrast, is exactly 8 hrs from Denton, tx). Oklahoma also has 20 or 30 kids from the Dallas area on their roster, and at least half of them are freshmen and sophomores. Ok became his clear cut #1 after the RRR, and his last official visit will be in Norman to watch the sooners throttle a&m on nov. 5th. I'm p&g thru &thru, but if we were to get his signature, I might even be screaming foul play.

Nah, it is a 2:30 kick off. NSU would have been a much better weekend to visit.

Actually, as someone posted, its the best sheduled time for recruits to get to know the coaches and players. It might not be the wild game atmosphere, but it affords more time after the game to get the interactions that are really important.

psst: it was just a weak dig at the rant's over-reaction to the game getting moved to CBS.

FSU commit Mario Edwards tells me he will visit #LSU (likely vs AU). Edwards is a 5-star, No. 2 DE and No. 8 overall prospect on Scout.
While I don't think this guy is a serious possibility, what happens if he, and/or another player, of similar caliber, does decide to commit? I've heard the opinion that we would "make room for him". My question is, "At what cost?" If my kid has been offered, and has accepted, an offer from LSU, I expect it to be honored. So, with late interest, from a high profile recruit, there WILL be a cost.

The two G's. Greyshirt and grades may allow us to sign an extra high calibur player we did not expect to get. Would you turn him down if he wants to come? LM won't either.
