The Bama logo has caused me to lose IQ points so my spelling is not gud.

He needs to start returning the ball for TDs.
Have you noticed we don't exactly set him up for the best chance of a big punt return? Drives me crazy... when we had Skyler we would double the gunners on almost every punt. Then all the returner has to do is make the 1st guy miss and he should get some decent yardage. A key block (or 2) and its 6 pts.
SET UP THE RETURN GAME... and let's get this thing going. Is the LSU SID on board for a Heisman push?

I would be surprised if the teams that we have played haven't tired to gameplan around TM7. I'd like to think that he is just that good of a player to still make a huge impact regardless.

A couple of big if's, but if lsu beats Bama and wins the sec, and tm has a big play that decides the bama game (another strip, scoop and score for example), he could easily win it.

Career. And the current record holder played 48 games. TM7 is like 18 games now.

35 tackles (Leads team), 4 for loss, 1.5 sacks,4 pass break ups, 1 int, 4 FF, 3 recovered, 2 TDs...

If TM7 wants to have a realistic chance at winning the heisman what kind of stats will he need to have when the season ends?

If a overhyped guy like Charles Woodson can win the Heisman over Peyton Manning back in the day, then TM7 can sure as heck win it and do it convincingly, no disrespect to Luck or Richardson or whoever.
Oh and it helps when the commentators pipe in the "hello Heisman" during a national telecast, preferably near the end of the season.

Trent Richardson should be one of the top as well...only behind TM7 of course.
If TR and TM7 continue to perform well, the Heisman voters may be looking for some separation when LSU and Bama meet in November. If TM7 as a great game (e.g., gets a pick six) and TR is held to his 27.5 yards/game average against LSU, this may give TM7 the boost he needs to vault himself over TR and seriously compete nationally in the voters' minds.

definitely not the authority... but this article puts the career record at 14 (previously quoted here as 13).

anyone have the official link to the record?
also interesting:
this season a couple of guys already had 4 FF after the 3rd week
LINK
and Capi's (CSU) 4 came in 1 game!
LINK
ETA:
The NCAA record for most forced fumbles in a season is 10 by Elvis Dumervil of Louisville in 2005.

Also needs to have more success in disrupting the passing game, not just with deflections but with actual interceptions. Interceptions are perceived as the "sexy" statistic, more so than fumbles forced (IMHO), even. Not fair in the least, and it undermines the brilliance that TM7 has shown this year, but it's an uphill battle for him.

If he forces a fumble from Trent Richardson he is a lock for new york

Does anyone know the record for fumbles returned for touchdowns in a career?
Or even defensive touchdowns? I know that the record for INTs returned for touchdown in a career is 5, but that is all I could find relating to defensive touchdowns.

If he does win the Heisman he has people like suh, Dorsey, pp7, fairley to thank. In recent years media has hyped defensive players much more for the Heisman. Hopefully voters pay attention and realize that sometimes the best player in the nation is on defense.
Suh was better than anyone that year.
Hard to argue against cam or Tebow though.
