He was vocally campaigning for LSU to be the #1 team in the country.

I still haven't forgotten the times in the past where he was seemingly biased against us, and, particularly the "Miles to Michigan" fiasco, but is anyone reassessing their opinion of Herbie?

He's wrong. LSU should not be #1.

Until the end of the year.

he definitely knows his stuff.

yeah he's a pretty boy.

yeah he had bad info in 07.

yeah he's a buckeye, but he's better than many other insufferable color guys.

edit: calling AU as NC's in the preseason last yr was

Herbie's Thought: "Well, I tried to screw over Les and got slapped in the face. Maybe if I build him up he'll screw up..."

Going into the half, both Kirk and Brent were pretty much talking like the game was over. Was funny.

People who think KH was against LSU or out to get LSU have been pretty far off base IMO. He reported the Miles to Michigan story too soon but IMO he was probably leaked the story by someone higher up at Michigan and chose to run with it.

He does go "hot" and "cold" on different football teams but so does everyone - and if you don't have teams you like more or less then you really are not an analyst because you have to express opinions as a part of your job

Most of what I want from the talking heads is for them to express an informed opinion and for the most part I think KH has done that while he has worked for ESPN

I've never really minded Herbstreit. He knows his stuff. One of my more favorite sports announcers.

Hey we are getting great press right now that has been on the air waves for 3 weeks now. Any good word is great for us. I personally think KH is okay at best.

The Herbie hate on this board is baffling. He is one of the better color guys and has never showed any hate towards LSU. If LSU performs, he always gives us props. He tells it like it is. If the performance is sloppy, he is going to call it out. That simple. It isn't some conspiracy. I'd prefer a Gary Danielson or Herbie calling any game. Probably the two best color guys.

I like Herbie
I like Mayday
I like Jesse Palmer

I feel they are realistic and tend to tell it like it is. Sometimes that means that they are with us and sometimes they are against us. Grow up people.

Simple as that.

I think ole Herbie is simply trying to stir up shite and fuel Nick Saban's/Alabama's fire so we get beaten. NOBODY does a complete 180 like that. Even EA is not being such a little bitch to Les.

Just like that guy who smiles in your face while he's twisting the knife in your back.

But that is my opinion. What do I know?

He does say stuff that gets me ticked, but out of all the guys he is the best one. He was the only guy man enough to say he was wrong after Bama lost to LSU in 2010.
