I used to twirl the baton in high school. I was good too. Real good. I would practice my baton twirling everywhere.
I was all set to start to training with the US Olympic baton twirling team when I hurt my left wrist falling off my motor scooter. I was never able do a toss crossover after the injury. All of my baton twirling hopes and dreams were crushed.
My coach and I cried for a long time about that.

We had that in Tiger Band when there were rifles back in the 80's. They twirled rifles at halftime but had to "do flags" for Pre-Game. Called them flaggots.
