Any LSU fan traveling to Morgantown are more then welcomed to come over to our tailgate for some good food and beer. When we traveled to your place we were more then welcomed by the fans and actually tailgated with several LSU fans. We are wanting to return the favor. We will be tailgating in the Blue Lot which is right in front of the stadium. We park right between the hospital and the stadium right in the middle. You can look for a black tahoe and a WVU canopy. We will have plenty of food and drinks. All are invited. We will be set up around 7am that morning but plan on attending GAMEDAY. I won't be there during that time but someone in our group will be. Looking forward to the game. Safe travels and good luck to all LSU fans making the trip.

If you think you have enough drinks...go back and buy double.

Anyway - to the invite

Won't be there till later in the day, but I'll try to swing by

Also, what is a good time to head into the stadium? Is there any pregame activities that go on that would be worthwhile to watch?

If he drinks us dry then we will buy more. lol I don't know of any pre-game activities going on before the game right now. We usually just hang out in the blue lot and tailgate. We will have cornhole to play and a tv set up with other games on to watch throughout the day. We will have plenty to drink. If anyone has kids bring them to, we have three of our own that attend the games. It will give them someone to pass ball with.

We've started a new tradition this year in which the players and coaches walk through the blue lot into the stadium (called the mantrip, a mantrip is the coal mining car that takes the miners deep into the mountain) and touch a giant piece of coal on their way into the stadium, donated from the upper big branch mine (where 38 miners were killed last year) Holgs will do a pregame speech snippet for the crowd then back to tailgating for a minute before kickoff.

you can see a vid of it here.

Nice tradition and respect to the tragedy of that mine accident. Just thought of it, two of our nations largest energy producing states are meeting in this game. Vast majority good hard working blue collar folks that love and respect their flagship universities. Hope all have a great day and enjoy the greatest sport on earth: COLLEGE FOOTBALL

You've never heard of cornhole?

You must not tailgate much. Not being a dick, but that game is all over the place on Saturday's.

Oh, and that's very nice of you to invite us, wvufan08!

You right, I don't.
Working every Saturday during football season.

Now I'm assuming that it's one of those games where you throw either a bean bag, or a big arse washer in the hole

Yes, there is two boards and bean bags. Each team gets a different color or bean bag and try to get it on the board or in the hole. We refer to it as the drunk mans horseshoe.

Hopefully it becomes a better tradition for y'all because it was kinda lame that half the players walked by it like it wasn't even there.

Here's our version. No touching a Tiger head or anything, just a lot of swag.
