1) IF you drop back to throw 85% of the time, your qb will be killed and there will be 10 sacks.
2) IF you throw it 85% of the time, LSU's dbs will need oxygen from all of the interceptions and runbacks.
It will get UGLY if you are no more balanced than THAT!!
There is not one chance in hell that a one dimensional offense is going to work against the LSU defense. No chance

Well then if you are not astute enough to have taken notice of their prowess, I would suggest you listen to the folks at ESPN, SI,CBS Sports, Fox Sports, etc, in their praise of the defense.
Its almost embarrassing in what they have to say.

I actually think that plays into our strength, which is a deep secondary. Couple that with the fact that we have a defensive line that gets instantaneous pressure.......I like the matchup for LSU's Defense.

Throwing 85% of time just means more opportunities to sack G. Smith. No running game will make the D-line & LBs lock on to the QB w/o no fear of being burned by draw plays.
Let me guess. You're still suspicious of that whole "nuclear fission leading to a weapon of mass destruction" scam, right?
