Harvey was an Arnsparger recruit 86 season. Played for archer 87-90.

I do not believe that Dinardo deserves to be lumped in with Hallman.

He was a transitory coach between the Archer/Hallman and Saban/Miles eras.

Additional point of order - Mike Archer was a great defensive coach and, as LSU's head coach, helmed a 10 win season (albeit his first) - finishing with 27 total wins, versus 18 wins and 1 tie. He coached the same number of years as Curley, and Curley would have needed 3 additional years to equal Archer's win total. Add that to a #5 and #19 final AP rankings (concepts that Curley is still unsure about) and let's say Archer was promoted too early, wish him well and not lump him in with Hudson "Curley" Hallman.

It's crazy how to think about how completely one-dimensional LSU's offense used to be.

In 1991, our team was basically Todd Kinchen and nobody else.

In 1992, our team was basically Eddie Kennison and nobody else.

I'm thinking that perhaps T. Kinchen's constant invocation of "God rules!" might be hurting his popularity in this thread.

Archer was never a great defensive coach.

The defense was getting worse throughout the 1988-1990 era, especially when compared to the 1985-1987 era.

Todd Kinchen, never forget his touchdown catch versus Florida St. in '91. Loup to Kinchen for 80 yards. My very first game in Tiger Stadium.
