Watching the replay of ORE, they just compliment each other so well...power vs speed. Spencer softens 'em up and then Ford finishes 'em off. We get another one of the 'speed' freshmen to step up and that's a Saints backfield IMHO.

Ford really has good vision and running instincts. Ware not quite as good at that yet, but he is a good receiver and will smash you.

If Ford can improve his blocking and Ware can keep improving on his vision/footwork (which is already pretty damn good), those two are going to be scary good by the end of the season/next year.

They are going to be sick this year. Hope they stay healthy and continue to move the chains like they did.

In the limited snaps we've seen outta Ford, his vision has really impressed me. Hits the hole pretty damn fast too. TWSS

One of the best 1-2 punches we've had in a while, and we've had some damn good RB's

totally agree... a two headed monster.. although, i said it last year, and still believe it to be true... Ford is the better natural back.. on any other team if he got the 25 carries a game, i think he would be one of the top rushers in the country (statistically)... but having both is better for the team. IMO

I agree with your statement. However, there is a fat arse douchebag on Baton Rouge Sports Radio that said that we are losing everyone after their Junior Year. So don't get to comfortable with Ware and Ford, they are as good as gone after next season according to that frick-tard on 1210AM

I would be willing to bet we do lose a bunch of jr's in the coming year. Great thing is that right now we are so freaking deep when someone goes down it is sometimes a legitamate debate as to whether it will help or hurt.

Wow, the guy on 1210AM must be like some of the Rantards and have a crystal ball!! With the two backs splitting time, it helps to keep the stats down, which "might" translate into them staying the full 4 yrs. If Ford got all the carries, I believe he would generate the interest early at the next level.... running both helps us in more than one way...IMO

We will prob lose some Jr. for sure (see Matheiu and some D players) but I don't see that from Ware/Ford. I see Ware as a Ridley type NFL player but with more quickness, however not highly picked but will be a solid backup in the NFL. Ford has more upside IMO but I don't think he will get the touches to justify leaving...think Miles will prob keep him as 1A on the depth chart behind Ware due to his power game. Think we will see them both for the duration..

Great combo, I still don't know why Les likes Blue so much. Blue will be good but clearly is #3.
