This is really sad. Some donor's money or, worse yet, someone's tuition is paying for that. Waste of time and resources. This deal is all but done.

Act now and save that gripping Baylor / Texas rivalry
err, I mean that incredible Baylor / Texas A&M showdown
shite, I mean the annual epic war between Baylor and Texas Tech
Ah, err, god dammit.

Well, at least they didn't call themselves a Texas' flagship University.

Here's what really pisses me off about Baylor:
They have been in the Big12 for what, 15 years or so, and during that timeframe they've contributed nothing to the conference. Sure in basketball they've had a few tourney appearances, but in football they are joke. The Big12, whatever it's plusses are, is that way in spite of Baylor, not because of it.
Baylor has had a free ride for 15 years, contributed nothing, and now that the writing is on the wall that they are about to be left behind are crying about the sanctity of "Texas football".

Dude, if I'm a Baylor alum, I'm pissed that somebody is making my school look like mega-pussies.
It's over. UT killed your conference. Why you gotta drag A&M into the shite?
Let it go and try to find something decent before all the good slots are taken in the Big East/Big 10/etc..

Starr is harming the reputation of the university as a whole over the athletic conference affiliation of another school. If I were a Baylor alum, I'd be furious..

I'm sure there are some powerful alums just hearing that Baylor is the ones holding this up and that they are probably not happy about it. There's nothing the school can do now but look like crybabies. And coming off the RG3 performance and getting your school some good pub - what a terrible way to mess it all up.

If I'm Kansas or Kansas State and I read that I would go tell Baylor to go F themselves because the conference isn't all about Texas

What if (big conspiracy theory here) Texas is somehow getting Baylor to slow this down enough for them to come back with some huge concessions? All of a sudden offer 100% revenue sharing, kill the Longhorn Network, etc? Could this be an 11th hour attempt to try and save the Big 12-2, to desperately keep the SEC out of the Lone Star state?

Its over now for the Big 12. A&M see that there is nothing to be gained at all by staying in the Big 12. The conspiracy theory probably is accurate because the school that really loses out here is UT. Who gives a rat's arse about the Pac-10 and their 10 PM CST kickoff when they are stuck in Hawaii or Washington State or UTAH or powerhouse Colorado. The WAC or Big West will be more relevant IMO.
