I know it is just Northwestern but home opener after a huge win on a big stage just wait until the Tigers show themselves in the shoot and under the goal posts. It will be incredible and should be, they deserve it.

Even though its just Northwestern, I'm still actually pretty pumped.
Haven't had this feeling for a crappy opponent in years

I'm not leaving unless I get kicked out.

Should be a great feeling in the stadium.
I plan on seeing the team sing the alma mater after the game!

Sadly, not very.
I appreciate your enthusiasm, and share in it, actually. But the reality is that it is JUST Northwestern State and the fair-weather, wine and cheese, corporate socialites that now prevail in Tiger Stadium aren't interested in what's going on.

Hope you're wrong; bet you're right. It WILL be rocking to start, but the crowd will thin at halftime. FWIW, these are "take your kid to the TS" for many. They get to see LSU score alot and they can leave early without really missing anything.
Me, I'll be there until the end of the game. We only have six home games, so I'm going to enjoy every second of every one!

It'll be as rockin' as any other home game against Directional School U.
Which is to say, the upper rows of the student section and large chunks of the upper decks will be empty throughout.
The seats between the 25 yard lines will begin to empty once LSU goes up by two or three possessions. The student section will begin to filter out at half. Etc., etc.
Hell, the AD just put out a release saying there's still 800 seats for sale. That should tell you all you need to know .

Doing my part. Just got tickets. First time in TS since the '07 AU game.
Will be driving down from b-ham after high school football game friday night.
Will be there until they kick us out probably since we don't get to home games often enough.
Can't wait!

Regardless of opponent, I'm pumped for the first home game. I like to play a cupcake first, we can be excited for the first time to see our Tigers at home. I'll stay the whole game to see the young players get some reps in the 2nd half. The Mettenberger debut will be cool to see.
Now, as for the cupcake game that we usually play after Alabama...

I've been to other SEC stadiums and they only leave when the game is not close. Aubbie fans only started leaving last week very late in the fourth quarter.
Our "fans" leave during 3rd quarter no matter what is happening.
