Agree they are funny, but we scored 40 points not because our offense was great, but because we got 4 turnovers, two inside the 40 and one inside the 10 that was returned for a TD. We didn't score 40 points with a great offense and that's basically what these guys were getting at, they didn't factor 4 turnovers on their side of the field into their thinking.
This really hits it on the head. We had more yards gained, but not points scored. Barner is a junior, no excuse for his fumble and your TD. When we turned it over you did as good teams do, you took advantage. I was surprised actually at how well our D stopped your O. I was surprised at how fast your DE's were. Your secondary was as good as advertised. We have a good secondary, but you were great. It might have been a different game if Harris wasn't suspended, but you had players out too. I didn't understand why our QB, Thomas, didn't run until the 4th qtr. It was like part of the offense wasn't being used.

While I thought the two teams were more evenly matched than most here, you certainly won the day. It has been fun coming here and sometimes trading smack with you all and actually having discussions occasionally. Good luck the rest of the year and I hope we can play again. (we may have an opening in 2013 as it is rumored TN is backing out of coming to Oregon)

I think one of these is more important than the other, but I can never remember which one.

THIS!

Thanks Oregon but we beat you once, no need to prove it again! Peace out Ducks!

I realize you need to keep telling yourself this but this sure wasn't the case. You were no match for us.

What happens when you turn over the ball and get scored on from a short field??? Oh, you get the ball back. Kinda hard to run up yards when we are ripping it away from your players inside your 40. But I'm sure there are some more excuses you can come up with.

Remember, just because LSU scored on a turnover doesn't mean LSU wouldn't have scored after a punt with a longer field. Then maybe we would have adequate yardage for the ducks to admit they were handled.

Both of our RBs rushed for almost 100 yds EACH against your D and you said your D stopped us well ???

We scored after the TOs (2 inside the 40-yard line and 1 inside the 10-yard line). How are we going to gain a lot of yards if you keep giving us short field positions ???

After the 3rd quarter, you had about 197 yards total..... In fact, I was surprised at how well our D stopped your O

Not to mention Miles basically said once they saw the way the defense was controlling the game they decided to remain ultra conservative on offense. We didn't score more or have more yards simply because we didn't need more yards.

This thread is amazing. Half of the Oregon fanbase is in denial right now, making excuses...the other half have already jumped ship.

Garbage yards mostly on the final 2 drives.

When I looked up at the stats end of 3rd/beginning of 4th LSU dominated every single stat up there, and held a 2:1 ratio on time of possession. Like the national championship game, Oregon came swinging back at the end. But this time it was pure garbage points to pretty the score up as opposed to tying the game up.

You mean a lot like the '58, '03, and '07 teams? Imagine that, LSU having a defense that forces turnovers and then scores points off those turnovers...

DL: I am not going to even go there. LSU fans will have to believe it when they see it. Sorry, but you're pinning your hopes here on a DE that is recovering from an ACL and a true frosh. Adams is the stalwart and nothing leads me to believe that he is stronger than his counterpart Turner. Our interior with Heimuli, Hart and Keliikipi should be considered more experienced, imho. Our other end Jordan is fabulous.

I honestly don't remember any of their names being mentioned by Musberger or Herbie all night long.
