. . . to lose - and lose big (by the widely-accepted CFB experts)?

Bama last year? Florida 2007?

I understand the logic leading to their conclusions, but there's precious little love, even from the lunatic fringe. Pretty much every expert has Oregon in a walk.

I've got the faith - I just don't remember an LSU team in the past 5 years so universally expected to lose.

And Geaux F***ing Tigers!

The margin of predicted victory is what gets me. Essentially, we'll keep up for awhile, but there's no way we can hang.

Reminds me of the Loyola-Marymount game during the CJ years.

I don't know what predictions you are seeing, but I am seeing a very even split. I also don't recall have seen any serious analyst predict a blowout either way. But hey Tiger fans really like to play the disrespect angle, so have fun with that. I'll help you out Oregon 59 LSU 7.

Oklahoma 03 was worse, this is on par with Alabama last year.

The more I think about this game the more I have no clue

I think it's going to be close naturally

I could see Oregon blowing us out if our offense doesn't improve and they eventually wear down our defense with the tempo.

I don't think it's likely that LSU blows Oregon out but you never know if our running game really dominates and we get a few big plays out of Lee and special teams.

There is basically no outcome of this game that would surprise me.

It's a us vs the world mentality.

IMO the entire state has become like this since many of our people were forgotten during Aug/Sept 2005

I think the good people of Louisiana took a look around and said f**k this, we don't deserve that, JMO and it's a good thing frankly

It does seem that most "experts" are picking Oregon for some reason, don't get that. Oregon has been subpar anytime an opponent has time to prepare. I do agree with the margin of victory though, if Oregon wins it will be by 7 or more. They either click or they don't...they hardly ever win games by a point or two...just a style of play factor.
