I don't think politics will stop VT from going to the SEC

the only reason VT ever got into the ACC was because the former governor put pressure on uva to make it happen. uva never wanted VT in the acc in the first place and were pretty much forced to help them go in.

i don't see why uva would block VT from leaving if they never wanted them in the acc in the first place...if VT doesn't come it will be because Beamer is scared to no longer be the big fish in the small pond.

thoughts?

VT brings little to the table besides football and a bubble NCAA tourney men's hoops team

Baylor brings a lot more to the table from a full athletics standpoint

Please. If Ann Richards had not forced the issue when the Big 12 was forming then Baylor would be in the Mountain West of C-USA right now.

Florida State is the only logical candidate. Virgina Tech would also be IMO, but then again we don't need another South Carolina

I agree with you. While Virginia is for lovers, I don't see that shotgun wedding leading to everlasting bliss. As long as the split doesn't damage the other, and I don't think it would, it could happen. Those more familiar with the situation disagree however.

Baylor is 1-3 in bowl games since 1987, and made their first one in 15 years this past season--where they got destroyed by Illinois.

This is a joke, right?

What Final Four did Baylor go to in men's basketball recently? The Texas Invitational?

Baylor mens basketball reached the Elite 8, not Final Four. Make bowl games!?!?

Let me post this astounding graphic about Baylor. This is all you need to know about Baylor.

The ONLY way baylor makes it to the SEC is if they are the last team left in the west when the SEC is ready to add 16.

If you had to put percentages on it, I'd put chances of Texas in Pac-Whatever at 70%, remaining in Big 12 at 30%. #ut -Bohls

To Pac 16:
Longhorns
Tech
OU
OSU

To B1G:
Mizzou
Pitt
UVA
ND or Syracuse

To SEC:
A&M
VTech
???
