I think oregon's O will either be dominated or will dominate. I could see it being Oregon scoring 17 or less or lighting up LSU for 40. I don't think there's a middle ground.

Duck fans are saying that as well. However, the Ducks seem to score in the 30's against the Beavs and Arizona. So, we have found the middle ground at times.

Execution is the key. LSU will without a doubt be the fastest and most physical defense the Ducks will see this season..

Until Oregon plays Alabama in the NCG.

LSU isn't the beavs or zona. we will either have that shite figured out right away or get our arse handed to us.

Hate to bust everyones bubble but Oregon will lose four or five games this year and nobody has a clue how LSU will do with all our issues.

You have too much spare time man.

And lob is a douche. LSU fans aren't any dumber than any other college sports fanbase. Football analysis is a universally lowbrow topic of interest anyway, as many of the Oregon fans in this thread have demonstrated.

This. Sure there are a lot of dumbasses on this board, but no more than any other football message board

I have a very good memory for numbers, so it didn't take long to put the post together.

I understand that, but I guess I'm somewhat on the same page as that lob guy here in the sense that what a couple of run of the mill college football fans really think about your team is irrelevant. We've seen it time and time again when guys have come on this board when we've played OOC teams like Ohio State and A&M.

What do I think? That the size differential isn't that big. Did I say that equated to anything? No. OOC games are really hard to get a beat and opening games are sometime even tougher. This game could go in a myriad of directions.

However, why come to an internet football forum if football analysis is so lowbrow? We as fans have nothing to do but look at this from every angle to pass the time. I personally got to water ski, go to a water park with my son, go out to a nice dinner with my wife. Right now everyone's asleep and I am letting my dinner settle before going to bed. I could put on the tv or chat about the biggest OOC game that I can remember.

Fair enough. I don't really get on this site to talk on the Rant though.

Bison,

I would of thought you would have learned by now that starting a thread like this would lead nowhere.

*shrug* Wouldnt say that is the case with us. We know what to expect going in and usually get that (good bad or ugly).

We have a recent history, sans playing in a mosh pit in Orlando, of dominating OOC opponents, with the occasional foot off the gas almost backfire (nc). You guys havent had a solid OOC win in years.

That is what keeps getting lost in all this. You guys have yet to demonstrate you can win a reasonable game outside the Pac 12 with the current regime. It is what it is.

Did you see the PAC 12 preview by Herbie? He said Oregons toughest game will be LSU. He also said it would be b/c we are 8 deep on the d-line. While I don't always agree with his analysis I think most agree he is spot on.

Any fan on here saying they aren't worried about the Ducks must be smoking the same stuff C. Harris smokes. I hope the game lives up to the hype. I hope execution is good and the better team wins.

What bothers me is Oregon should have a bigger chip on their shoulder b/c they hear all the SEC is the best talk and even though favored get to play the uinderdog going up against the mighty SEC.

I do think the off field problems LSU has had over the last few weeks is not good for the ducks. I think LSU is pissed and will be highly motivated to take out their frustrations on the ducks. I know that we will see some great hitting.

Can't wait til kickoff

It's not just size with the SEC it's the speed in the trenches. The SEC Front 7 on the defensive side of the ball are faster then the avg defensive lineman compared to other conferences.

Wish we could compare strength, speed, agility and talent as well. Not sure what the fuss is over size... as long as it's not a 220lb DT or a 260lb offensive lineman...
