Oregon appeared to match size with their O-Line against LSU's D-Line. They got beat to the spot about every time though and didn't get any push when they weren't beat. The difference isn't about weight, it's about talent and the SEC has more of it, especially LSU.

Hmmm... Guess they matched up well. We spanked both lines.

It what makes up that 300+lb player that make the difference. If you were to see them side by side or in the weight room you would understand. Your Coach even made this observation.(size/strength/speed)-you need all three to dominate top tier college football. It's more than 300 lbs of water/fat etc. Comparing weights alone is useless. I bet if you looked at Georgia's opponent this last week and just compared weights you would draw the wrong conclusion.

It's not necessarily the size that's so great. The fact that that kind of size can catch a "scat back" from behind makes it a whole different ballgame.

Size don't matter it's the speed and strength of LSU that separates them from most.

sometimes you just have to play the game to make other teams' fans realize what we are talking about...

Honestly it's the difference between fans that know football and fans that just like the sport. Knowledgeable fans can put their homerism aside and really talk about X's and O's.
