Tweets from the Daily Reveille:

quote:

The manager of the laundry store next to Shady's said its cameras didn't catch the fight. The store was closed at the time of the incident.

quote:

Sgt Stone: "Jordan Jefferson has been implicated as being involved in the fight. We're not naming him as a suspect, but witness information leads to believe there's a good possibility that he was present at the time of the fight. Whether or not he was involved in it, I don't know."

BATON ROUGE - Police investigating a fight outside a Baton Rouge bar last night said LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson and other LSU football players are believed to have been involved in the disturbance.

JJ is showing his leadership skills and quality decision process very early this year. Looks like another classic top 110 offense fot us this year.

For someone under strict orders not to say anything, you haven' exactly kept your mouth shut StrongSafety.

Put me in the group that thinks the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

While some tell us Jefferson was involved in the fight, at least one witness says Jefferson was not involved, and that she never saw him throw a punch.

Just out of curiosity, have there ever been reports of Jefferson having anger problems, getting into fights, or acting out?

Don't these people who engage in fights with football players know that 92,000 people minus 7,000 visitors equals 85,000 people that will kick their arse if they prevent a win on saturdays.

Lots of pressure on these boys. They are trained to be warriors and sometimes need an outlet. Just like Marines do. They are trained to fight and win. Unfortunately the football team had numbers and it does not look good. Several guys ganging up on some dude is stupid. I want to wait until all the facts are out but I leaning towards not being as fanatic of a follower. Afterall these are young kids who had alcohol in their system and made wrong choices. Feel sorry for them being used by the college system to make millions of dollars. Hope they make the Pros because they are probably going downhill after college football. Back to Thuggery.

Just wanted to contribute to an epic 245 page thread.

My take:
1) JJ standing up for himself: Win.
2) JJ standing up for himself in a way that gets him in legal trouble: Fail - wish he had more sense than that.
3) I certainly didn't have any more sense than that when I was a student at LSU.......

If he kicked some guy's arse for talking shite about his QB ability, I say sit him for a game - it being one of the more important games of the season doesn't help (but probably makes the punishment more effective), but we've got capable back-ups and a damn strong football team overall, so I like our chances....

Does anyone know what happened? I doubt that anyone on this board does. Why not let it lie until there are incontrovertible facts to discuss, er, intelligently.

Oh, I guess that would leave most of us out of the discussion...

Geez, what a mob mentality out there in Tigerland.

Breaking of curfew alone is indication that JJ is not a leader. I think the team knows that. Tough job for LM these days but I hope whatever he does our Tigers come out stronger as a team because of it.
