An Oklahoma City-based contractor claims Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy fired him for wearing a University of Oklahoma t-shirt while working on Gundy's home in Stillwater.
According to the lawsuit filed in Payne County, Brent Loveland is suing Mike and Kristen Gundy for a breach of contract and is seeking damages in excess of $10,000.
According to the lawsuit, on March 21, Loveland woke up around 4 a.m. to leave to work at the Gundy residence and he "grabbed whatever clothes were on top of his drawers, dressed in the dark and left for the job site."
After working on the house for less than three hours that day, Coach Gundy and his wife arrived home and Gundy immediately confronted Loveland about the Oklahoma baseball shirt he was wearing.
"How dare you come into my house and offend my wife," Gundy allegedly said to Loveland.
Loveland claims he inquired as to what Gundy was talking about to which Gundy responded "that f---ing shirt you have on."
From there the court documents allege Gundy continued cussing at Loveland telling him he was a "stupid idiot for wearing the shirt on OSU soil."
Loveland claims Gundy eventually told him to "pack his s--t and get off Mike's property."
Loveland stated that Gundy's outburst was "a tirade by Mike of epic proportions" and that after Gundy refused to accept his apology and that he was forced to pack his equipment and leave the Gundy residence.

Gundy is a self righteous asshat. He'll happily trade in his "beloved" orange and black for a big time program.

Gundy is a jackass, no doubt. But what kind of idiot wears an OU shirt to go to work at Gundy's house? That guy knew what he was doing, and probably even bragged to friends about what he was going to do.
and no way he didnt know he had an OU shirt on

That must be the only way Gundy can beat OU.

Good for Gundy. Maybe this will be a lesson for people everywhere, to stop being retarded. Seriously? You're going to wear an UO shirt at the house of the head coach of Oklahoma State? This guy should be mocked & ridiculed, and put on display so people can learn how not to be retarded.

Gundy's kind of a tard, but there is probably much more to this story than what the gump contractor has to say

I have no problem with what he did, and I don't see why it's even newsworthy. Of course he should have fired his arse.

This is what makes me think that the shirt was a little more than an innocent OU shirt....I mean come on its a rivals shirt thats what rivals do its funny...I think it may have been an "OU" shirt but was something crude other wise he wouldnt have said "offend my wife" because as we all know he wants people to come after him not anyone else

If the contractor did that, I'd fire his arse, too, just for being so damn stupid.

Not a big Gundy fan but why would you wear an OU shirt to the house of theOSU coach? Seems like both parties were being childish.

this reminds me of a story i had read years ago about deion sanders dropping his car off to be repaired, running up a bill, and then telling the owner that he wasn't going to pay him because they lord told him not to ... i was thinking about that story about the time sanders was at the pulpit preaching virtues during his NFL Hall of Fame induction speech ..

The contractor fails to mention that his work truck was a replica of this:
