I read the city of Los Angeles has gotten the fianl approval to move ahead on their proposed new stadium ”FARMERS FIELD” it’s being built there by Majestic Realty Co, and will be completed by 2016.

Vikings owner Zygi Wilf was quoted this week as saying, the Vikings are going to play in Minnasota for the foreseeable future, once the governor approves the new stadium.
The group Majestic Realty Co, that will be building and owning the new stadium in California, will not be pinning all of their hopes on the chance that only one possible NFL team.

It’s quoted on the new website https://football.ballparks.com/NFL/LosAngeles/index.htm , that there are several teams mentioned, it’s not a rumor, the teams mentioned for possible relocation to Los Angelas, include’s the Saints, Vikings and Bills.

quote:

The Saints fan base is strong out west, I think the entire Saints originzation was seen as one of the best during their run to the superbowl in 2009, and because of that, their fan base has increased dramatically world wide.

I hope the reasons mentioned by coach Sean Payton about wanting to practice in cooler weather and help build team camaraderie is true, is not just a preview of whats to come in the future.

I sure as hell hope the Saints aren't moved to L.A.

That being said, I dont think we come close to considering the move.

Jags would be the first team to go.. Saints are not even an option at this point in my opinion.

chargers
rams
bills
vikings
jags
raiders
49ers

and then I'd bet Tampa, Carolina, Cincinatti

would all go before the Saints went

I swear to all thats holy, unholy and inbetween - if the Saints ever relocates out of NO, then my fandom dies and I am done with the NFL.

its the New Orleans Saints - not the LA Saints.

No. There is no possibility whatsoever.

We have a very strong lease running through 2025, a partnership with the state on government buildings, inducements, etc. They also have a fanbase with a 50k person waiting list.

Obviously we aren't and shouldn't be mentioned.

San Diego Chargers will move. Book it.

Here is the issue with that blog entry on "whodatdish"

It starts up this whole speculation because the saints are mentioned in another article as possible relocaters. What does that 2nd article have to say about the Saints?

quote:

There are no shortage of possible candidates. The three that spring to mind are the Saints, the Bills and the Vikings, all of whom have stadium issues to work out.

The league will go out of its way to see the Saints stay in New Orleans and it is far more likely that the Saints will survive there than will the Hornets.

This blog/speculation is based on an article that pretty much rules out the Saints right off the bat.

The fact that the OP actually has any doubt is mind boggling.

The Saints are not going anywhere for a very long time.
