I remember reading this a while back. The game is already dark to begin with so it was a good story.

couldn't get into it at all... i mean if someone was really freaked out like he says he was no way he could remember EVERY SINGLE DETAIL and then go back and play it again to record video.
clearly a pretty smart guy to edit the ROM/videos but seems like it would take an extreme attention whore to go through that much effort

It obviously wasn't real and very few people believed it was. Just read it like a ghost story. It provided entertainment to 200,000+ people. I would argue that your "extreme attention whore" provided a service to those that read it and enjoyed it.

I called fake about 1 minute in after he met the old man. After that it just seemed like a really cheesy story. At one point he was really about to cry?!?...come on.
