Loston & Reid will be THE BEST SAFETY TANDEM IN THE NATION in 2012.

Can't wait.

I wanna see a Loston/ Reid combo, all due respect to BT.

I don't get this. BT is one of the most underrated players at LSU in a while. There secondary was noticeably worse after his injury.

The rant's infatuation with Reid is getting out of hand
By reading Scout each day you would get the impression that Reid has the edge over Loston as of now. And judging by the play we saw last year when #1 got on the field, I won't be suprised at all to see him start this year. I will be just as confident with Reid on the field as Loston. Saying that, I would love to see Loston have a breakout season and live up to some of the hype coming out of highschool

My concern is not whether or not Loston is a bad arse...we all know he can lay people out, as can most of our secondary!! I know our safeties are bigger and faster than the rest of the world, but CAN THEY COVER?? and ARE THEY SMART?? this is always my fear while I'm watching the games, cause we seem to give up the big play too much!

Thanks for the clarification earlier, guys. My mistake.

Taylor was a backup CB in 2009, so his coverage skills haven't ever been in question. He's a very, very good Safety for us. Reid & Taylor, as well as Loston, have all proven to be not only athletic, but players who understand their role in our defense. I look for that to continue to improve along with their athleticism the longer they're here.

I'm a fan of the Taylor family but Brandon gets beat regularly. CL should be able to lock that spot down

He's been our best safety for the last couple of years. He is as solid as they come. He has excellant cover skills. I doubt he gets beaten out for the starter spot.

Based on most of the post-practice reports that I have seen, Reid and Taylor are taking the #1 reps, with Loston in the two-deep.

B Taylor is better in man to man coverage than Loston or Reid.

Man Coverage

1. Taylor
2. Reid
3. Loston

They all have great talent, and I hope they can all stay healthy this year.

I do think of the 3 Reid is the safest bet for a long NFL career at safety. JMHO.
