Do alot of people on here really think this will be no contest or are you assuming the Hat will pull one out of his arse as usual?

Honestly Oregon offense scares the shite out of me..and I'm not ready to hand Jefferson a heisman just yet..

I think it is going to be a closer game than people believe. I do however think our defense will contain them more than they are used to and our OL will open the air and ground game in the second half. But no disrespect. Just healthy arrogance.

we just need to weather the storm early, once the initial blow comes and goes ... we always turn it up, i am predicting a oregon 7-10 point lead before a pick 6 and a the tigers never looking back

I am expecting a solid LSU win, and this is not in any way disrespecting Oregon. I think Oregon is deservedly a top 10 team, but I think LSU's offense is going to be better than most expect (largely due to the fact that our OL is filled with veterans that have played together a lot). Oregon on the other hand has a newly constructed OL which hasn't had a lot of playing time together. This I think will severely limit what they can accomplish on offense. As Oregon is unaccustomed to this they will attempt to open it up, which will lead to turnovers. So while Oregon is deservedly a top 10 team, I don't expect them to come out of the gate as one. This is really a good situation for LSU, because after getting their asses handed to them by LSU, Oregon could sweep the PAC-12, making us look really, really good.

Oregon won't score more than 17 ... and will be lucky to get that much!

They won't have their leader in the secondary ... what's his name ... The I can't drive 55 champ ... they caught him doing 145 in a 65 or something like that

Not to mention THAT THEY BOUGHT SEASTRUNK

We won't even go there ... They are 1/2 slice above USC ... Loudmouth PAC-10 cupcake eaters

WE WILL SLAY THEM IN THE TRENCHES ... wrote a poem about it ...

It will be a good game no doubt.
But disrespecting them because we expect LSU (clearly the superior team in this matchup/location) to win?
No.

It's all in good fun. We really know how tough a game it will be.

Not really. Inside they are trembling like little girls.

I find all the beat down talk a little embarassing.

Oregon is a very good team and we always start off the season slow and out of sync.

Our defense has struggled mightily with miss direction and speed. I think we'll do okay offensively but worried about the D, scheme and getting gassed from the uptempo.

Folks like talking about the Auburn game vs. Ducks and thinks we'll do well as a result.. Chavis likes to play read and react which has cost us dearly. Auburn whooped our arse up and down the field and gashed us for 460 yards rushing (the single most total given up in history of LSU football).

NC was missing 1/2 their damn team and most of their super players yet it came down to the last second of the game.

I think that's pretty common in my experience of the LSU fanatic to disrespect and underestimate opponents. It's why we get so upset when we lose, cause we build LSU to be so much better.

Now, I'm usually just the opposite in that I"m a bit cautious in my analysis of LSU and generous in that of opponents, but in this case I just think it's a good matchup for us and we win in a fairly competitive game but by a comfortable margin.

It will be close for 3 quarters but Oregon won't be able to sustain an attack for 4 quarters. The defense will start teeing off on them when they get tired.

We always start slow. That's when Oregon scores. Likely, we'll be catching up through first half. I expect we'll take control somewhat in the fourth quarter, but it WON'T BE A DEFINITIVE win. We won't come away feeling all that good like we did against VaTech.

Yes. Oregon is going to give LSU all it can handle, and maybe MORE than it can handle.

I'll gladly take Oregon plus 7 pts & hope I lose.1st game of the season, who knows what kind of offense LSU will have. I hope I lose the bet & LSU has a killer year.
