Getting brutal. I don't know how far down we are headed.

Wish I had a time machine....

Time machine?

All I want is tomorrow's Wall Street Journal delivered to me this morning! I'm not greedy!

Jesus H,

It seems I checked an hour ago or so and it was in the 100's now it's 320 plus.

Glad I made an exit and cut my losses before this fall.

This is brutal. One of those days I'm glad everything I've got is in cash!

Also, there was no big news article etc to make this fall. I think this could be it and we might get a nice bounce next week. Gold also selling off pretty heavily.

Did QE2 inflate the price or valuation of stocks? Is that what we are seeing today?

A lot of times in a plunge the media finds/invents some specific cause or reason for the drop.

Big time. The market has been artificially high for a while I think. I bet we see 10k again.

I was stopped out of SLV and AGQ today, but still own IAU and UGL with a stop set. Also picked up more RES after their recent selloff.

Agree. But 10K seems to be the floor--last time around the market would hit that number and rebound. My guess is it's a nice round number with psychological significance, so a lot of people have buy orders that are triggered by the Dow crossing 10K.

I miss 14,000

On the upside, sounds like lousy jobless numbers are already priced in for tomorrow. Word I'm getting is maybe an upturn tomorrow f/u'd w/ a <5% drop to the bottom of this POS. Anyway we're heavy cash and starting to nibble here. Wish I had supplemented cash positions with shorts though. Didn't think we were dropping this far.
