Former LSU RHP Matty Ott is showing he has the skillset and talent to do it big at the next level. In after 3 games, he holds an ERA of 0.00, and has only allowed 2 hits and 2 walks, struck out 8 after facing 25 batters. He has closed 2 of the 3 games for the current closer of the Lowell Spinners, and was Player of the Game the 3rd game. Why are some LSU fans so eager to see him go? You don't break the saves record if you have no natural ability. Just saying...

I don't think anyone ever questioned his natural ability.

Maybe a change of scenery is what was best for him to get his mojo back.

Thanks, Matty Ott's girlfriend.

Or are you the one that cheated on him and started his downfall?

Your definition of 'the Bigs' varies wildly from the generally accepted one.

Glad to hear that a former Tiger is doing well at the next level. Keep up the good work Matty. I'm sure its quite refreshing to be in a more positive atmosphere.

Hill ERA will balloon once word spreads that you just lay off every splitter or cut fastball that he throws because he doesn't throw them for strikes. Then, you strike, and blow a load all over his meatball fastball and breaking ball.

You are correct on a lot of things PNG. A positive atmosphere has made a difference, and having coaches that work with you. As far as "The Bigs," I predict he will rise quickly through the ranks of Minor League ball. He is showing lots of movement on his current pitches, much to his coaches' delight, and any future pitches will only add to his value as a potential closer when the time comes for his appearance out of the bullpen at Fenway.

Just a TRUE fan of Mr. Ott, and as a TRUE fan, you want that athlete to prosper at the next level, be it baseball, football, basketball, tennis...??

I wonder who calls his games ? I would guess it is the catcher. That will make a difference in a pitchers' outing for sure.

No pitching coach hurt Matty and all LSU pitchers the las several years. All got worse instead of better. Hope that changes.
