Miles is mad at Mett, not Jefferson mad at Mett. He didn't really answer the question when someone asked. He gave a typical Miles sidestep. IMO, it sounded like he may not be giving the best efforts in summer workouts.

Yeah typical coachspeak...
If I had to guess, Mett is probably not improving as much as CLM wants him to...probably because Mett has the attitude that the QB position is all but in the bag for JJ...and he is still number 3.

This struck me as a peculiar comment but giving it some thought I think he intends on giving Mett more time to learn LSU's system. This comment just takes the heat off Zach and puts in on himself.

Did Mainieri give any insight on what's going on with baseball? What he is changing or doing differently?

Not sure if that's a good nickname. Usually kids who have parents as coaches have a good knowledge of the game but not the athletic ability. JJ is the exact opposite

He said most of our guys are really starting to turn it around in the summer leagues, said he expects great things from our pitching staff next year. Also said that Mahtook still has not signed yet and he has his fingers crossed...
Talked about recruiting and talked about how frustrating it is that MLB can cherry pick recruits, said if you sign 14 guys like we did, it would be considered to be a great class if you could get at least 8 of the 14. Said we are in good shape to get most of our recruits and he expects alot of them to come in and compete.
Also said he hated the new bats and they really factored into our offensive approach this past year. Said he's working on getting players in that will help with that.
Said LSU is the major leagues of college baseball.
Said we're going to do whatever it takes to get back to Omaha.

That's a pretty big assumption to make while zero proof of why miles is mad. He may be mad because isn't going to class, who knows.
