Some friends were giving me grief given that I cover high school football but had never seen an episode of Friday Night Lights, so about 3 weeks ago I watched the first episode on Netflix. I knocked out all five seasons right away, and now I am caught up to this past Friday's episode.

Is this definitely the last season, or is there potential for more?

I really like Breaking Bad and a couple shows on HBO, but I think Friday Night Lights might be right there at the top of best shows out there. I even think it stacks up near some of my favorite shows, like LOST and Arrested Development.

Everyone a fan? Why did it never have a huge following (sort of like Arrested).

Also, I will be ordering this tee to wear around Baton Rouge.

My favorite show of all time. It is cancelled.

Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

I had never watched it - I don't know why since I'm a big football fan. My sister lent me the series and in a week I am near the end of season 3. Very good show although I will there was a little more football. I also wish a few characters would be consistently happy to blend with all the change and drama. I do love the "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose", that's pretty awesome.

I think the show has pretty much always been fridays at primetime. That doesn't bode well for most tv shows. It also seemed like NBC was trying to kill it from the get-go.

I love Friday Night Lights! We had to buy all the dvds to catch up, but we liked it so much, we were watching as many as 2 or 3 episode a night. We have bought the last season too but have not watched it yet for some reason.

Friday Night Lights is my favorite sports movie ever...that's right, I said it. I've always heard only the best things about the show, but never seen an episode.

It's really a great show, from the very 1st episode all the way to the series finale.

The only one that was particularly bad was the second if I have my seasons correct

It truly is a great show. They have done a great job of rotating characters in and out of the spotlight. Last season, season 4, was probably my least favorite just because everything was so new and different than before. This season is shaping up to be very good though.

I watched the first season and loved it. When they moved the second season to Friday nights (before we had DVR) I stopped watching. I'd like to maybe rent the latter seasons on DVD to watch it.

I finished all the seasons a couple weeks ago. It was a great series. I wish it hadn't been cancelled.

Season 4 is better if you watch it over again after watching 5. You get to see and notice the character development from the beginning.

When it premiered it was on Tuesday or Wednesday but was competing with major TV programming. It almost failed at first and never really caught on despite critical acclaim.

If it wasn't for DIRECTV, seasons 4 & 5 would have never happened. Season 4 and 5 don't really do justice to the old characters but the new story line with East/West Dillon and the new players still made it a favorite of mine.

Unfortunately, all good series come to an end.
