Let's Debate: Pixar vs. Miyazaki

Personally I'm on the fence on which one is better. Personally I think Pixar is better than Studio Gibli as a whole, but just Miyazaki, it then gets much more iffy. Both have made some of the best films in the past 20 years and are masters at taking simple concepts and giving them real meaning. Granted if Pixar themselves had a vote, they'd likely vote for Miyazaki, but I'll just sit back for now and see how it turns out. Here's each of their respected filmographies:
Pixar:
Toy Story 1, 2, and 3
A Bugs Life
Monsters Inc.
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Cars 1 and 2
Ratatouille
Wall-e
Up
Miyazaki:
Castle of Cagliostro (haven't seen this one)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Laputa: Castle in the Sky
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Porco Rosso
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle
Ponyo
Pixar:
Toy Story 1, 2, and 3
A Bugs Life
Monsters Inc.
Finding Nemo
The Incredibles
Cars 1 and 2
Ratatouille
Wall-e
Up
Miyazaki:
Castle of Cagliostro (haven't seen this one)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Laputa: Castle in the Sky
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Porco Rosso
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle
Ponyo

Never heard of, nor seen those (or the studio).

I love both. But I'd vote Pixar just because I haven't seen Mitazaki's entire collection.
Spirited Away and Finding Nemo are two of my favorite animated movies of all time. Throw in Lion King. So I consider that a push.
Ratatouille is really the only Pixar movie I don't really care for. And I've liked everything I've seen from Miyazaki, but I haven't seen...
Have a hard time finding his movie. Hard to put those four movies over all of Pixars.

Spirited Away is one of the best animated films ever. I would put it on par with Up.
I think this is a wash though, both have stellar titles, and a couple of duds.

I love them both, but I would certainly go with Miyazaki.

Ponyo is simply amazing.

Pixar is better in RL
On this board, Miyazaki will probably win but honestly, I do not know a single person that wathced any of those Miyazaki movies.

I watched this years ago and I don't remember anything about it except for the No-face guy. I think I need to watch it again. I haven't seen any of the other Miyazaki movies though, so I don't think I could give an educated answer.
