You might get more people to read this and respond to it if you change your title to read "outdoor cooking set up" or something along those lines.

Something you might consider.
I have an outdoor sink w/hot & cold water.
I love it for outdoor cooking, fish cleaning, gardening and just working in the yard. But it can be a pain in the arse in winter when we get a hard freeze

I am going to build a wok ring if I ever do one. Something along the lines of 250kBTU. Trying to do stir-fry on a 18kBTU range is bullshart.

Me thinks 250k btu may be a bit much. Will you be wearing a fire suite to get within 5 ft of it? That is 2X as much heat as most high pressure dyi crawfish boiling burners. 60 to 70K should be plenty to stirfry with an 22" wok.

Can you remember "Burning Down the House" by I think the Talking Heads?

This is turning into one of those OT board NSFW posts.

Outdoor kitchens, at least in South Louisiana, unfortunately are limited in their usefulness to about 2-3 months a year.

Eh, probably.

125kBTU

120k

Says 35kW - looks like a beast.

?

I'd want to build a housing around it where the heat wouldn't fry the person stirring.

I disagree. I think March-May, sometimes early June, and well as late Sept-November are months with a lot of mild weather, especially in the evenings.
