Ohio State worked Notre in that bowl game.

Ted Ginn

Too much speed offensively for Ohio State in that game.

Basically, 05 OSU was 06 LSU, which many LSU fans say was the best team in the country

You do know you could insert any year there, huh?

1. OSU outplayed Texas for 3 quarters in the game in the Shoe. Taking absolutely nothing away from VY (they won the game of course) but OSU outplayed them.

I'm sorry, but Texas coming into Columbus and beating OSU doesn't make them the Buckeyes the best team in the country.

3. That ND team that OSU put up 614 yards of offense up on and shut down on O for much of the game was the same team that was an illegal bush push team from beating USC.

OSU fans always talk about this game like they blew out Notre Dame. In reality, it was a 1 score game with under 2 minutes left, IIRC.

I always hear OSU fans say that team was playing so good at the end of the the year, but I see nothing to base that on. It took some fluky crap at the end of the first half to help OSU beat Michigan State, the Buckeyes gave up a whole bunch of points to Minnesota, and they barley squeaked out a win in Ann Arbor. That team was good, but they weren't playing better than everyone else.

That's a little more accurate.

I understand the argument about the players that left, but the 2006 defense gave up less points, although the last 2 games were a bit of a train wreck.
