I have to go through there from time to time with work. That's going to be a shame to see that area washed out.

Thanks for posting, although it's heartbreaking.

I love it out there.

My favorite camp names there are three in a row: "Hers", "His", "The Other Woman's".

"The Other Woman" was my dad and uncle's camp. I spent many a weekend there. My dad sold his share to my uncle years ago but it was so much a part of our growing up. It makes me sick to think it is going to be gone.

me too but there is no reason to get mad at the people who are putting on the press conference to warn you of what is coming

Nerves get frayed, brah. Some people are going to lose all they own. It isn't right, but it is understandable.

One of my two best customers lives in Butte La Rose. This really sucks. As a Katrina flood victim my heart goes out to all that are going to be affected. A very sad situation.

I hope you dont know any of my family.

Fortunately, my family will be okay if the levees withstand the water. Otherwise they are majorly fxcked. Either way, it is very sad

I feel bad for the people that live there, but in the same token they had to be aware this could possibly happen. Butte La Rose flooding would be a story, Baton rouge and Nola flooding makes it an international story. Drudge, The BBC and Reuters would be all over it.

Exactly. I think I have posted this same premise atleast twice on this board. It still sucks for those people. But, a levee failure in either BR or NOLA would catastrophic.
