Anyone heard of the Hog hunt that was supposed to happen in the spillway when they opened it? my dad had mentioned something about it this weekend.

my dad said LDWF was putting people on the levees and you could take any hogs beavers or nutria. You couldnt shoot deer, the black bear that was reported in there, or the cougar that was seen in there.

I would think it could get pretty dangerous out there.

Hogs are a major problem everywhere. The area around Avery Island has a problem with them. Tx. has had a problem, too much damage is being done. They multiply way to fast.

Only problem is unless they have moved in the Bonnet Carre in the last six months there are no hogs there currently. Of course after the opening won't be there any for sure for a little while.

I hope that cup is full of antiseptic to rinse his mouth out with...
Probably 100 proof, which is what led him to put a piglet's foot in his mouth in the first place.

That would have been awesome. Just pick a spot and blast until you run out of ammo

+1
Those things are covered in lice, ticks, fleas, etc. Not to mention disease and pig shite.

How many people would shoot black bear cubs thinking they were hogs?
Seems badass, but also could get dangerous with the wrong people there.
Anybody with any private property around there that wants to lease some land to me for a couple of days?

I dont have any bear that I know of, but you're welcome to pay my lease for me this year.

Nothing would scare me more than a bunch of drunk coonasses sitting on an open levee shooting the first thing that sticks its head out of the woods.
