Okafor was better than him anyway when we made the trade.

Harvey Hornet: He has a degenerative foot condition. He will never be the same.

what's wrong with taking on a longer, worse contract in order to save a couple of millions in the short term?

Chandler is getting a ring this year. Ya herd?!

Really?
He was the perfect fit for the Hornets, but Chandler was rarely healthy in 08-09 and flat out awful last year with the Bobcats.
So you're saying the Hornets should have kept a poor, injury plagued player while going over the luxury tax line with a bankrupt owner? All because he is playing well in a contract year?

My 20/20 hindsight looks forward, brah.

I have no problem with the trade. Outside of two years, this and 07, tyson's been a bust. I wish him well but it's no use getting upset over.

I don't wish him ill, but I would feel better about it if this year was a fluke.

Not to mention even if he was on the Hornets and having the same year as a FA some team like maybe DALLAS would just come in and overpay for him anyway

Everyone Harvey hates or bad mouths turns out can ball.
IE- Chandler, JR Smith, etc., etc., etc.....

In hindsight, yeh probably. It would be nice to have that 12 million dollar contract coming off the books

If this is a fluke year and he'll be going down again soon then the Hornets made the right choice. If not Shinn's finances screwed the team again. If he's back to normal then it probably would have been better to have an owner that could have afforded to let the GM use the MLE on a stop gap center while Chandler healed up.

Are people really saying this was a good move? Blind loyalty is one thing, but this is ridiculous.
Chandler>>>>>>>>>>>>>Okafor
And Okafor is scheduled to make 14 million three years from now.

Well, if Chandler stays healthy and continues to play well then maybe so. However as someone said above this year makes year number two he's played at this level. We'll see. Plus he'll want to get paid big time.

so it's alright to complain about letting a guy go 3 years ago but we can't bring up Thornton?
just saying
and f**k Chandler, he was never going to "recover" here

The thing about that is, this isn't the 1,000,000th thread about Chandler.
