Looking more likely that a really good DE will either drop to us...

or be easier to trade for (i.e Quinn or Smith there when NE picks).

quote:

Nationally recognized mock drafter Rick Gosselin has Washington quarterback Jake Locker going eighth overall to the Titans, and TCU quarterback Andy Dalton twelfth overall to the Vikings in his final prediction for the 2011 NFL draft.

So, by now, this news probably shouldn’t surprise anyone:

“I guarantee Andy Dalton and Jake Locker will go in the top 20,” one unnamed NFL general manager says in Peter King of SI.com’s Draft Primer.

No chance Powers or Quinn last past the tenth pick.

add in some OTs too and they go down

My excitement level related to getting list-

Quinn
Aldon Smith
Bowers*
Kerrigan

*if he passes the Saints medical grade

Be tuned in at THESE PICKS!

Drafting an OT would be a major fail after taking Charles Brown last year in the 2nd round. Major

More so- Drafting an OT would be a recognized fail of taking Charles Brown last year in the 2nd round.

If he ain't IT and if they don't wanna ride with the Bushrodder then taking a premium LT wouldn't bad. Hoping CB IS the guy but we dunno. Smith & Castonzo would be such big surprises they could be "can't pass on" picks. Carimi & Solder would be okay value if the stated need scenario exists. Sherrod I'd be pretty meh on even with need.

Heard anything on Brown? Is he going to be stuck on the right side, ala, Alex Barron his whole career or is he strong enough to protect the left yet?

OT depth is very important, though. Bushrod and/or Strief could leave, and if Brown and Stinky suck, it would be a major issue. Much bigger than any RBs getting hurt.

I'd do awful things to get Quinn. He and Smith would wreck QBs.

If the Falcons actually move up get Julio Jones :omg:

We would definitely need to counter that with a playmaker on the DL.

OT depth is better than RB depth if Charles Brown is as good as the team though when they drafted him

I would moisten my pants if one of the stud DEs fell to us.

There is literally zero OT depth right now. We have Brown and Stinky under contract, Bushrod and Strief are FAs. That's it. Bushrod will be an RFA if the NFL keeps the 2010 rules, but I wouldn't rely on it.

We can get serviceable depth at OT with one of the 3rd round picks.

figure neither of those guys will command much interest, saints should be able to re-sign both, unless they think Brown can start at LT.

If we start countering all of the draft moves of the teams in our division are draft will end up being a steaming pile of crap.

Sorry
