Any idea what the avg price is right now? Got my interest with how many miles you got out of them.

i am looking at a set of the firestone destination a/t tires for my 4runner. like you, i want something that will be used primarily for the tarmac but also handle a bit of off-roading.

and they're a little less expensive than the bfg a/t ko's.

different all over the place. mine are on a grand cherokee so mileage depends on the car.

I agree. Was going to get the grabbers. Ended up getting BFg at's only cuz the tire place screwed up the order so they gave me a deal. Did research and the grabbers are good for the money. Grabbers were 800 and BFg's should have been 1200 for 33" tires.

Damn! I want to get the BFGs but I'm gonna look hard at the grabbers. How's the wear of the grabs? Good reviews?

I have the General Grabber HTC and they are superb. Not AT but rank very highly, super on wet and dry except for ice/snow and are a 50K mie tire.Great ride and quiet and btw they are on a Yukon. Would put them on a pickup in a heartbeat.Got them from Devin and Treads and Care just off Florida by Baums whatever street that is.

+1 on the BFG all terrain KOs if you can shell out the cash.

If not, look at maxxis bighorn, mastercraft AT, or general grabber. Those should all run you much less. I got maxxis bighorns put on my old Z for $735 all the way around. If you're in a bad bind, go get 4 cheapos from wally world. They're cheapos, but they're better than expensive tires that have enough miles for you to see the air in em.

Get ready for a arse raping. The price of tires has skyrocketed in the past year or so.

Just an opinion, but if you only have two wheel drive and cash is tight, I would just go with regular tires. 2WD without positive traction no all terrain tire is going to really make a big difference IMO. If it were me I would just get some less expensive road tires and when you have cash in the future get a whole new truck that can handle real tires and mud.

for the price?

Firestone Destination AT

Have them on a 2006 Z71 Tahoe and a 2003 Acura MDX.....one with 15k miles, one with 40k miles.

Good tires, very low wear thus far on any.

cooper Discoverer's. Ive ran these for years. ride smooth on the road with no noise, but wont get stuck in mild mud conditions.

Get the ATR's great tire for the money. Should get about 60K out of them. This is my beat selling AT tire right now.

Nitto Terra Grapplers, about $220/tire getting good mileage out of them so far, about 25k on them. Good road characteristics and slightly above average off road qualities
