Heard there were a bunch of different breweries in Portland doing Timbers themed beers

You know, I think I will stay up late and watch this match live. I'll be sure to stop by my local craft beer vendor and see if they have anything Portland-based. If not, then I guess I'll just have to go with a Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar bomber. Which is still pretty damn good.

I've traveled and lived all over the world and in my opinion Portland is the best beer town in existence. That alone is enough for me to be a Timbers fan.

Portland has more Breweries per capita than Munich.

Portland is also apparently the place hipsters go to retire.

I'm no hipster, but I feel I certainly belong in the pacific northwest.

Hipsters have the right idea. The ones in portland anyways.

Food, Beer, Soccer, Music, and Naked Women. What else could a man want?

To be surrounded by gorgeous nature? Got it. An hour from the coast? got it.

The thing it is missing is College football.

Wait... Eugene and Corvallis are both less than an hour away. It ain't the SEC, but it ain't half bad.

Not a hipster either. I am an outdoorsmen , I love it here. Probably never move out of the NW. Drinking that pale ale from the OP now at the Raccoon lodge

Eta...barkeep called it Timber Jim. He's irish. Plays in the house band. Had a decent show on St. Patty's day.

It's not all roses...45 degrees and steady rain right now...We haven't even sniffed spring yet :( Other than that I love this place.

Without rain we most likely have no beauty. Man invented planes so oregonians can fly to vegas, az, and hawaii from nov-may

Or you can cross the cascades and live where it's dry with lots of sun.

Eta.....trust me, I am ready for summer. Been to a lot of places. They all have cons....willing to deal with ours more so than anywhere else. The pros more than even it out imo.

My kind of weather. I like cold, muggy, gray skies, and rain.

I haven't been to Brussels in almost 25 years so I have no idea what it is like now. I can only imagine that with the popularity of Belgian style brewing the beer scene there has exploded. I need to get back to the Low Countries soon. One of the reasons I would still vote for Portland (besides the strip joints, left-wing politics, hipster chicks, etc.) is my preference for ultra-hoppy American style IPA's over Belgian beers.
