Hey I've been to nearly every game since the 2005 season and agree with what ARFF406 above has to say. If you want to get a good place to stand in GA get in at least 1 hr prior to match starting. I think your best bet for atmostphere without being too crazy is section 207, right above where it all begain in 107. My fave place before games is the dive bar Marathon near the stadium on Burnside, great people watching there. Send a message if you are going to make the game and I can stop by and get you a beer!

Awesome night. I had chills inside the stadium multiple times not from the cold either. We've been doing this for several years now and it's awesome the rest of the country can see it finally that we're in mls.

It's not all roses...45 degrees and steady rain right now...We haven't even sniffed spring yet :( Other than that I love this place.

I've heard from some TA who've talked to ticket reps that all games with available tickets have less than 500 left. That's incredible... glad I have my season tix.

In my opinion, that would possibly be the biggest signing for MLS yet (rivaling Henry) but I think Klose has more left than Henry at this point.

Timbers sign first 4 players for MLS

Portland Timbers just signed the first four players for their MLS debut season. Three are coming up from the current roster and one is coming from the Austin Aztex also in div-2. They are:

Timber's season ticket holders get free tickets to these games friday and sat so I'm going to try and check out the BR team before the Timbers U-23 play. Hopefully it's sunny...it's cloudy and misting right now at noon and about 60 degrees!!

We lost 0-3 to Man City on Saturday but the game was extremely close and entertaining. I got watch the man city players load the bus and had Jo autograph my ticket. Got some great shots of Adebayor, Bellamy and others...My flash blinded them haha.

No way would I look down on that! We are going to continue the great rivalry with Seattle and Vancouver and we undoubtably have the best supporters group in North American (And this was true even before we had an MLS team on the way). Anyone who supports the Timbers is more than welcome and hopefully one day you'll make it out here for a game...I guarantee you will enjoy yourself...And you won't have to buy yourself a pint all night :cheers:

I'm so excited for this match!! I've been a season ticket holder for the Timbers since 2005 (Timbers Army)and cannot wait for tomorrow's match again the sky blues!! It's pretty rare for a div 2 team to get to play a top notch EPL team... to say the least. The Timbers Army will be in full force for this one :)
Also, the game is at University of Portland, beautiful facility, but only holds 5,000 seats, so we will be right on the pitch up close to the players. Hoping to see Adebayor, Bellamy and others!! I know it's a long shot, but anyone else on this board around the PDX area and going to the match?
