What are Saints' fans thoughts on having Mark in the backfield?

If we can get him at a steal value (2nd round) then yes. But that's not happening.

No problem with him in the backfield. Going RB instead of front 7 D, thats an issue

I like the idea of him in the backfield. I don't like the idea of drafting him in the 1st. That is an expensive backfield.

A good fit. But I would surprised if he is still there at #24. DE and OLB are bigger needs. We only registered one sack or fewer in seven games last year.

going to Miami book it.

Would I love to have him? Sure. But we got bigger needs.

DE is the deepest position in this draft, Is the DE your going to get in the first that much better than the guy in the second. Theres not a no branier DE at 24 and If Ingram is there i hope we take him

Correct.

Better taking one at #24 then waiting to use it at #56,#72,or #88. If Ingram is there, then yes give him a good look. In my opinion, he will already be gone.

And it's one of the quickest positions to be depleted of talent.

I think so.

He would certainly get consideration at #24 but I would expect a higher rated DE, DT, or even OT still available. Current stock watch has him sliding closer to the 2nd Rd. So I don't expect it but if they did, I could hack it. The established Payton/Loomis draft track record would take some completely off the wall pick to get our criticism.

I said during the combine that I'm not sold on Ingram as a good fit for our system, and I'm sticking to it.

This reminds me when our choice was Wells or Jenkins... I'm glad we got Jenkins

Ingram would kill in our screen game. But I don't like the idea of not going D in the first.
