Another good place would be the patio at Martinique.

Girls love Sucre. Fact.

If you want to go around there, there is a newer Tapas and Wine bar called Salu. Personally, I think its very average, but that place is crawling with girls.

Yeah Martinique's patio is really pretty.

Right and you're also surrounded by a bunch of loud high school girls. And all the desserts have been sitting in a window all day.

I'd rather go sit at coquette and grab an after dinner drink and a dessert there. You're going to get a better dessert and it's a better atmosphere for adults to converse in my opinion.

That place is owned by a guy who has a pretty solid Italian place in Houma

Every time I've been to the one on magazine there are a ton of 15 year old girls in there

do you go after dinner? I usually go there around 8 or 9, and I can't recall ever seeing high school girls in there

Yeah that's usually about the time I go...maybe just a coincidence. I mean there were adults there as well but the 3 or 4 times I went it was packed every time and there were a bunch of junior high and high school girls in there.

I guess part of my problem with it as an after dinner plan for a date is that it doesn't consume much time. They just reach in and grab your premade dessert and you're on your way. That's why I'd prefer to just go to a restaurant and sit at the bar, grab a drink or coffee and get dessert there.

meh, i guess so. usually takes 5 minutes to bring your dessert out while they garnish the plate, then if you eat slow and get some coffee, you can be there for a half hour or so. I end up there cause the lady always wants to go.

Well you already have a girlfriend so you can do whatever you want (or whatever she wants )

definitely whatever she wants for dessert, usually I can influence the dinner decision, or else we would eat at the same 3 places all the time

I like to try new places as often as possible

Unless I'm looking for something really close to home then I'll usually just get a burger at Lakeview Harbor or something.

I've surprisingly even found a couple of really solid places in Kenner in the last week.

I'm the same way. I would rather try a place I have never been, and potentially set myself up for dissappointment, then go to a place I have been to 15 times, even though I know my meal would be solid

Yeah...the only places I go to frequently are lunch places but I work in Kenner and there isn't much here

I still like to rotate and try a few new things if possible though.

I found a good Chinese place yesterday and I'm tempted to go back again.

I'm still trying out places, but

Mayas (make sure to get a mojito)

is a good suggestion
