much in the future....PM kinda hung him out to dry in the Advocate this morning. He said his best pinch runner was at football practice and that you should score on a ground ball single to CF with 2 out. whoa!

I would tend to agree with PM here, but wasn't the field a bit on the slow side because of the rain? I did not see the game and don't about the play in question, but my guess is the field conditions were not ripe for baserunning.

Was the 3rd base coach out taking a dump during this?

If the ball was hit on the ground wouldn't it have made it harder in the wet condition for the CF'r to come up in time to make a play?

You shouldn't need a 3B coach to score on that play with 2 out. The runner should be able to get a good jump and score fairly easily if he has any running speed at all

Here we go with throwing his players under the bus.

The 3 headed monster that was at 3rd base last year named Dozilattier aka The 3 Stooges do not need to see much PT this year (one of whom is now gone to Eunice). Sunday is an example of why.

That's just his style.

I have never liked how PM rolls his guys under the bus to the media. Maybe that's why there is a lot of talk about the problem's in the clubhouse

go out and coach the guy today and teach him what he did wrong, dont throw him under the bus.
make Javi useful.
didier is a fricking JR, if he doesnt know how to run the bases by now i blame the coaches as much as I blame him.

Don't blame the kid. If he wasn't fast enough, or a good enough base runner to get a decent lead, don't put him in that spot.
I don't think the comment about the pitcher giving up a walk after the big inning was appropriate either.
The coach's job is to have the players play well, especially to have their heads right. A coach should take the public heat when his decisions turn out wrong. Even the best coach makes mistakes. Making it sound like the pinch runner's not getting home or the pitcher's' inability to come back lost the game was wrong. Be critical of the players at practice, not in the media. It is a team sport. Every player who didn't get a key hit or who made an error contributed to the losses. He could easily lose his team from doing this sort of thing.

If the third base coach sees his jump was inadequate he throws the arms up...if he sees he is bogged down, he stops him. If he is slow, he stops him.
Of course sometimes the CF just throws a strike, I did not see the play. IF it was really close, I dont blame the coach at third, if he was dead to rights...I blame the coach.
I dont mind PM talking about it though.

dude should have never been offered a scholly. We had to go all the way to Washington State to get this guy? GTFO

then maybe cpm shouldn't have advised dishon he'd be better off signing and not returning...

With Watkins on the bench, he could now become the late inning PR specialist

PM blaming players for his (or his coaches) in-ability to coach? He recruited the kid,,he put him in the game,, sounds like PM is trying to blame everyone else..
Sorry dude, the buck stops with you. Your program, your coaches, your players.
