You didn't read that incorrectly, either.

The kids don't get any signals from him when they're in the batter's box. They get them from the dugout, or even Maineri himself.

So, the freaking hitting coach doesn't give the kids signals or advice while out there.

Beyond that, the dumbass held the runner at 3rd in the 9th. Say what you want, but this guy is RAPING LSU out his salary, and we gave him a substantial raise two years ago after we won a national title.

I know for a fact that Maineri had to literally give him a come to Jesus meeting mid-year the year we won it all because he was more worried about being everyone's best friend.

There was ZERO timely hitting after Friday night. ZERO. None. Nada.

Beyond that, his coaching on the basepaths is an abhorrent, macabre joke.

Sorry, but that dude needs to go get MilesFired.

Javy Sanchez = LSU Baseball's Joe Rob

I am absolutely happy to completely disagree with you, and stand by my statement.

This isn't about JoeRob, but I can assure you, Miles wasn't unhappy he left, and encouraged him to go find other employment. He was MilesFired.

Rosemary fricking Kennedy could coach 3rd base better than Sanchez does.

There is no reason to stop running on a popup with 2 outs

My heart is black. All is dark. Javi Sanchez has raped my soul, and stolen money from me with the high price of corn dogs at the concession stands.

There is a chance Ross would have been thrown out at home. Not a big chance, but a chance.

You don't gamble with outs for 1 run when you need 3 runs and only have 4 outs left.

If he's running on the damn pitch-WHICH THE THIRD BASE COACH SHOULD'VE TOLD HIM TO-then there's NO WAY he gets thrown out at home.

The guy next to me said the same thing, but the kid was told to hold up. If he's going full blast, there is no opportunity.

There is no excuse. I was at the game. I was watching Ross when I saw the damned fly to short.

Rosemary Kennedy, dude...I'm telling you...

Sure there is. If the right fielder fields the ball cleanly and comes up throwing it would've been VERY close at home. The runner scoring on that play would've had zero effect on the game but the runner getting out would've ended the game. No reason to chance it there.

Looked to me like Ross trotted to 3rd, thereby blowing any chance of scoring on that pop up.

He wasn't a dumbass for holding the runner in the 9th. Why even risk that being the 3rd out?

I agree LSU can do better for a hitting coach. The same can be said for pitching coach.

If LSU is down one run, Javi sends him.

But because they were down 4 with 2 outs, you don't want to take the chance of getting your catcher aka slowest runner gunned down at home on a run that if scored would still have you down by 3.

Javi has made some bad calls, that was not one of them.

You are a retard and have never played baseball in your life if you think he should have sent the runner home in the 9th. We need 4 runs. That run means absolutely nothing. If there is even a 5 percent chance he gets put out, he should stay at third

What good comes out of sending Jones home on that single in the 9th?

It would be a 7-4 game. You still need multiple hits to even tie it.. and Jones would obviously score on the first one of those hits.

Bitch about something else there.

I'm not even talking about the 9th inning situation there.

Disagree with you re: Pitching Coach. Our youngsters look good. Not sure how much of that is raw talent. But, I'm not ready to say we should switch them both out.

But, Sanchez is a joke.

Oh, you're talking about the "sun in his eyes play?". Yea, have to agree with you there.
