Not necessarily true. LSU probably won't get punished. But NCAA rules are going to change. The Haley connection is the only thing I could see LSU getting busted for. Luckily, he has Hartman on his side, it seems.

Nothing for LSU will come of this. Again I couldn't care less about NCAA or other schools.

I'm 99% sure that's right. Haley better be telling the truth, though. And they better hope Lyles doesn't come out of this blowing the whistle.

No worries. We'll get this NC in before the shoe falls.

Considering that they are naming names, yes I would like to see everyone who uses the services.
No need to respond.
Eta....I agree nothing but new rules will come of this.

We should be more worried than people in this thread make it out to be IMO.
I'm not saying we are getting the death penalty, but nothing good can come from this.

They had agents lined up at practices, on the sidelines during games and in the locker room following. With all that, they still said that nothing wrong was happening.
Strawman!
Perhaps you'd care to share with us why the NCAA never implicated ANY of the agents lined up at practices or on the sidelines during games?
Simply because no wrongdoing took place, that's why.
Lake and Michaels weren't even agents, and had zero association with USC. They were looking to START an agency with Reggie's dad, and use Reggie as their star client.
It's the wannabee agents like Lyles that schools have to be concerned with. The legit agents know they stand to lose their certification and livelihood if caught tampering with the college players before their eligibility is expired. Not to mention breaking civil laws and having to face AG's, like North Carolina is attempting to do with the agents involved with their players.

Even if this is pans out to be bad for LSU, it still pales in comparison to the corruption that takes place at $C.
Looks like someone's getting their 'news' and 'facts' from message boards.
What corruption was USC involved with? In case you didn't follow the actual situation, the wannnabee agents were trying to get Reggie to leave USC, which makes no sense for a booster or coach to become involved with

sounds like a whole much ado about nothing.

So that's why they paid him for two years while he was at $C and provided all the perks to his family?
Please... $C has a rich tradition in breaking the rules.

If Lyles assisted in or was involved in the recruitment of any player to LSU, the NCAA would consider him a booster and any payment to him would be considered a violation of Bylaw 13. The rule prohibits boosters from directing a recruit to a school."

How many schools can one person be a booster of? In the case of Lyles it is alleged that he was a booster of both LSU and Oregon at the least. How many schools would he have to provide services to before he would be considered impartial to any one school? If he was paid by every school for his services would the players he scouts be ineligible to attend any school without possible recruiting violations?
