Saints Blockbuster Draft Trade

Looking at the Draft Value Chart it would take the Saints #24, #56, + #72 (1310pts) to get into the Top 10 picks.
---Question 1: Is there any player you would want if he was available at #9 or 10 and the Saints could nab him for their top 3 picks?
The only one that I'd pay that much for is DE Robert Quinn. He's the top pure pass rushing DE on my board.
In between there and #24, say #16-17... Saints can trade #24 + #72 to move up there.
---Question 2: Any player you would be excited to see the Saints get there for those draft picks?
I wouldn't be disappointed if they did that to get DE Aldon Smith or Cameron Jordan. LB Von Miller too but I can't picture him that low (wouldn't give up the 3 picks above for a LB).

I like our picks. We save a shite load of money and they have a chance to be just as great as the top 10 picks on average.

This is a really deep draft at the positions that we have need, so personally, I would rather move down and acquire more picks than move up.
But yeah, Quinn is a guy I would consider moving up for if he slipped a bit.

I have a grease board that's 20ft long 7 ft high just for NFL Draft each year.

This.
I would say the only person to move up for would maybe be Von Miller. Front office knows their stuff though. I trust them.

This, though my preference would be to stand pat unless we get a really good deal, don't move down too far, and don't lose out on anyone we really want at our current picks.

Personally I think it's cool as shite that you have a draft board.

no, was just joking, the draft board babe was the part to be serious about
So no takers for Quinn?
What about Aldon Smith for just adding the first 3rd Rd pick?

I always say this, and still do on principle.
However, with Loomis & Payton, we never seem to get who we dream/wish for, outside of Reggie Bush via the Houston/Mario shocker.
This board was totally surprised the Saints drafted a WR in Meachem, we were disappointed because most of us wanted Dorsey instead of Ellis if we were going to move up, the board was mixed on getting a tweener in Malcolm Jenkins who at the time had a position-identity-crisis, and we were underwhelmed when they drafted a CB in Robinson when we were jizzing for a LB or DT to fill glaring defensive holes.
Point is, if the stand pat or move up, there's a good possibility our immediate reaction will be an indifferent one for whoever they pick in the first round as compared to who we dreamed we could've picked, especially if we make the move up. So I'll just trust Loomis to make good choices as he has proven over time.
The draft is so much fun looking at talented prospects and imagining them as Saints. However, after years of being underwhelmed on Draft Day, I should just stop pretending that I know what's best for the team altogether and let them decide if it's best to keep the picks or trade up.

Blues, as you had in one of you earlier threads, I would trade one of our #3s to get into the 14 to 16th range. We have a better shot at a DE then.

I would rather have the guys you can get with the picks they have than double down on someone not in the premier category.
That's because with two good guys you have a chance one pans out.
If you miss on the one you move up for and he's not premier, you just threw away one good player.

I completely agree with you. Pats fans I know lost their shite when we drafted McCourty, but it turned out pretty well for us.
