Went fishing and got an angling w/out a license ticket. It was July the 1st, the day after my fishing license expired.

So right then I vowed to get a lifetime license, and did.

Later that year a buddy called me called me up the 2nd day of duck season and asked if I wanted to go duck hunting. I went. In the blind I remembered that I neglected to buy my Federal stamp. We talked about how fricking stupid I was, but determined that the odds of us getting check were slim. We were wrong. I got popped for no Federal duck stamp. I was a dumbass back in them days.

I bet the game wardens are out in full force during the first of July with all the licenses expiring and all the new people on the lakes for the 4th.

I got 1 about 7-8 years ago for test driving someones boat I was looking at buying. He didn't have the proper tags on the boat. Forgot about the ticket and never paid. Last deer season I tried to get my Louisiana deer tags printed and my name had a flag so I couldn't get them. Had to drive to wildlife and fisheries to pay the ticket. The worst part was when I realized why they wouldn't give me my tags, it was a holiday and W&F was close, so I had to wait til after the weekend to get it corrected.

They're also out a lot around then to prevent drunk driving

I almost got booked by USCG last year because we were spearfishing in closed waters from the spill. But the cutter just passed by. I don't think they wanted to deal with the paperwork

That's what those bastards were doing. Looking for dumbasses. They found one too. They also gave my buddy a field sobriety test because he had a couple beer cans in the front of the boat with him. Which is kind of understandable except for the fact that we didn't have a motor on the boat. Just a trolling motor..

Me too. Just like you said and I got the lifetime.

The other was on Catahoula teal hunting when the season opened at sunrise instead of 1/2 hour before. I had checked the time, but the lake exploded with shooting 10 to 7 minutes before. I figured I was wrong and shot 2 before the warden got to me.

He took my gun and my birds. While writing the ticket, he noticed it was shooting time. He handed me my gun and said, "Shoot 4 more-these 2 do not count".

I was 17, and one call from my mother got them to drop it.

We took it to court and ended up having it dropped.

One for not having PFD in boat.
One for not having a noisemaking device.
Also one warning for 'reckless skiing'
