I'll sometimes do 3 before going for a run. That and oatmeal is like steroids.

Im just curious, but why would you eat em raw instead of cooking them? Convenience? Mental thing?

I always wondered the same thing. It takes just a couple of minutes to scramble 3 eggs.

The protein breaks down more easily when they're raw (and gooey). I thought that was b.s. when somebody told me that, but one time I tried it, and all of a sudden my second wind was a lot stronger when I did it that way.

Cooked eggs have the same amount of protein, but they're sustained more throughout the day because they break down more slowly; raw eggs' protein gets utilized more quickly.

Also, I fart way more when they're cooked.

Guess you've never had a real Caesar salad or homemade icecream.

I used to do this, not so much anymore though.

Deviled eggs are awesome. With OR without the yolk.

I have an iPod playlist for when I go running. The newest additions this week were some NFL Films scores and "Gonna Fly Now," which--I'll go out on a limb--is one of Bill Conti's four or five best songs from the 1970's.

I hard boil the eggs and take out the yolk most of the time. I exercise enough so when I douse the eggs in salt it doesn't matter.

I don't run after eggs, just something boot camp has made me hate.

your protein absorption from cooked eggs is considerably higher compared to consuming raw eggs. if you're eating raw eggs before a workout to get your protein, i'd just substitute whey protein.

How long does it take to absorb that protein? Raw eggs have always seemed to almost give me a kick. Whatever they do, it's almost immediate. Cooked eggs seem to be more of a long term benefit. Where'm I going wrong?
