Odd/rare LSU memorabilia
Back before the 2003 season, right after Fan Day in fact, I came to the conclusion that LSU was going to win the National Championship. Something about the difference in the way Mauck was throwing the ball versus the way he had in the past...even as recently as the Spring Game...dunno.
Anyway, I was doing tons of graphics back then while a member of Tiger Roar, and I did this one.
The board was huge then and the image got around right at the beginning of the season. I ended up getting an e-mail from one of the women that worked with the players at the academic center, and she told me a bunch of the guys had seen it...notably Clayton. Supposedly he had printed out a large version and had it on his wall the whole season. Through her, I ended up getting him to sign a smaller version I now have framed in my office...
Oh...not so much a bit of memorabilia but cool thing. Remember the LSU-UGA game from 2003 when Game Day showed up? during that show Lee Corso held up an image that had Mark Richt saying something fairly negative about Tiger Stadium. Corso went on to say he'd asked Richt about it and he'd denied it...and that the LSU team had had it up in the locker room, etc. Well...turns out Richt was telling the truth basically. He had said something about Tiger stadium, and if you REALLY tried you could have been offended...but just as a gag I twisted it a bit strictly for shits and giggles on the old board. Sure enough...it had gotten loose and the next time I saw it was while I was on the ramp at the PMAC with everyone else seeing Corso whip it out.

I have the Sports Illustrated with Chris Jackson on the cover signed by the entire LSU basketball team from Chris' Sophomore year... Chris, Shaq, Stanley, Wayne Simms, Vernel, Maurice Williamson...
Had it signed while I was at Dale Brown's basketball camp before my Junior year in high school... if anyone went to these camps you know how the team would have an informal practice while we went to lunch... I had gone to Dale's camp the year before and made sure I brought the issue the second time around to at least get Chris' auto... I was really great because we had a chance to meet the team without many other people around. Great times...

Every LSU pocket Football Schedule from 1977-2001, except two. I can't remember the missing years, would have to pull them out.

Alot of signed stuff...but since we are going rare.
I had a metal beam that was a brace in the OF wall at the Old Box. BUT...the damn thing was misplaced/lost during a move across state lines. Needless to say...I was...and still am a bit pissed. I also had an LSU parking sign with the map on it of TS and the Old Box...also lost in the shuffle, also pissed me off.

I had a friend who knew Herman Johnson and was going to get me a signed cleat. Herman had already agreed to do it and was suppose to be getting it to my friend.
My friend then accepted a job and moved away a few days later.
The stuff I do have:
- A pair of game used WR gloves signed by Doucet
- An LSU branded practice/game ball signed by Jamarcus Russell
- A Nike ball signed by Glenn Dorsey
- A Nike ball signed by the whole 2007 NC team
- A signed poster of Tiger Stadium signed by Kevin Faulk
Everything is a 100% legit as it was all collected by me and one of my best friends with access to the team
My wife and I also prepared JR's and Colt David's helmet for 3-4 games their last year at LSU.

My friend actually has one of Les Miles's white hats. It has actually sat upon the top of my head. I have seen the world Miles sees from underneath The Hat.
I don't think anything can beat that piece of memorabilia.

got it signed at the LHSAA All star game around 91 or 92 i guess...he was there with Harold Boudreaux.....shaq told me he could throw a baseball 95 mph...now that would be an intimidating presence on the mound

I have a number of things, but the most unusual are a black glass ashtray commemorating the 1958 National Championship team and a very old book on basketball coaching that was owned by Harry Rabenhorst.

Lol. I got 2 signed and sent one to my uncle who was a vice president of a sports marketing agency. He has a sports memorabilia collection worth over a million dollars and he says the Shaq baseball is one of his favorite pieces of his collection because most people are gonna have a basketball, jersey, shoes or something basketball related signed by him.
