Not unless Joe Willie Namath is erased somehow...
THANK YOU
Namath just happened to CHANGE THE GAME FOREVER. BUT as a QB he was Somewhat overated. He was the 1st QB to throw for over 4,000 in a season. The THIRD SB was him just saying the right thing at the right time, BUT He BACKED IT UP!!!!!!!!

If the first half doesn't end in perhaps the greatest defensive play in the history of the NFL, then Ben doesn't have his second ring.
And the Cards would have been Super Bowl champs!

Bradshaw, probably, but not by as much as you think.
Maybe. Bradshaw was a gunslinger and got better with each SB. Remember that FRanco ran for 158 yds in the 1st SB. and the D was AWESOME. The next three Bradshaw was MOney and they would NOT have won them WITHOUT HIM. Aikman was CLUTCH in the 1st SB but the other two he was NOT REAL GOOD.

Can everyone in here agree that Derek Jeter is the most overrated baseball player in MLB history?

People foreget, but they changed the rules to open up the passing game in 78. Bradshaws numbers were better after that.

I assume he means Namath. Its hard to judge on stats like that, it was such a different game pre 78. They pretty much just threw deep.

I remember this. However he was MONEY when It counted MOST. YOU can"t DISPUTE THIS!!!!!!!!!! He did what he did better than Aikman.

Aikman was pretty good in the playoffs, he didn't have as good of games in his last 2 SB as Bradshaw did in his last 2, but he was did in the NFCCG, which was vs better teams. That throw to Harper in the 92 ccg vs SF was awesome.

This whole thread is worthless for the most part anyway, if Ben wins a third SB he WILL be in the HOF no matter what the hell he does from this point forward
barring some serious scandal off the field

Dear god, Roethlisberger in the HOF, gag.

I mean come on, Joe Willie Namath is in the HOF for winning ONE.

I know, but I didn't get to watch Joe's career. I've seen first hand that Big Ben is an average QB.
Congrats. The greatest thing he's ever done statistically was finish in the top 5 passer rating statistic a few times (if you go by that stat as a barrometer, Romo is a better all time qb than Brees and Brady). The year before Ben was drafted, Tommy Maddox was top 5 in passer rating. Charlie Batch (who was a pretty underrated qb though) and Dennis Dixon have looked good with that defense over the years.

Right this minute big ben might be the most overrated american athlete in history.
It boggles my mind that we've gotten to a point where people realize that win-loss record is a pretty terrible way to judge pitchers but many still want to do it with qbs.
Big Ben is like a guy who goes to work and does average work most of the day, causes problems that are cleaned up by excellent co-workers, doesn't contribute a whole lot and then 10 mins before quitting time comes up with a solid idea, not brilliant mind you just solid, and afterward people just talk about how he's "an idea guy" and forget about all the fires he started.
We should all be so lucky to be judged the way he is

QB's as a whole get too much credit for a team's success. But when you win 3. You are a HOF'er.
Ben is having 4000 yard seasons. He is not terrible. He is average in playoffs. BUT he is a cold weather city QB. When they have home field they play on a shitty field with shitty conditions. This hurts overall performance.
Favre did play in Green Bay but he played 20 damn years so he was able to amass ridiculous numbers. And he never had a top tier RB except for 2-3 seasons when Ahman was in his prime.
Is Roethelisberger like Trent Dilfer? No.
Is he Joe Montana (my pick STILL for GOAT)? No.
