when JoePa leaves? Has he stated that he wants to coach at Penn State? I figure he'll call it a career when he leaves Bama, but I keep hearing the Penn State thing.

Just curious.

We just want to laugh at Bama. That's all.

I would think he tries the NFL for $10 million a year before he completely hangs it up

Well, Penn St. is in his neck of the woods and EVERYONE eventually wants to go home. Also, it's one of THE jobs in college football.

Because they've had one 1 head coach the last 45 years = job security.

Because Penn State has some big-money alums who have reportedly already formed a search committee for the next head coach after Joe Pa.

All of the Penn State fans I meet and all the Penn State fan sites realize that this is the most important hire in their program's history.

Rightly or wrongly, Saban is regarded as the best coach in CFB today. Every big time school with competent administration is going to at least give Saban the chance to say "No."

I've said all along that Penn St. is where Urban Meyer ends up. Be it next year or the one after that......whenever Paterno decides to retire.

JoePa gives the university more money than they give him. I'd like to see Saban follow that up.

Wishful thinking. I don't really think anyone believes that Saban will actually leave Bama for Penn State.

Yes. It's the flagship of the state that doesn't have to compete with any other big schools in Pennsylvania and it's in the middle of a hotbed of recruiting. That area churns out NFL talent. The fans are fanatics and they have deep pockets. Not to mention their administration and booster keep their noses out. Annnnd, they're on the cusp of being great again. Just like when Nick took over at LSU and Bama. It actually has Saban written all over it.

You are assuming Joe Paterno will die one day.

Dumb arse. WVA, Ohio and Pa all share a border. The Ohio Valley football league is one of the biggest and best in the country. Saban would be right at home up there.
