There seems to be nervous sentiment in a lot of posts about GC leaving. What's the deal? I thought this was something we all had consensus on. What gives?

Well I guess some people are nervous about who we get as a replacement.

The replacement can't be worse. No seller's remorse here.

He had to go though, even if it wasnt his fault any flaws of this years team the finger would be pointed at him..especially if zack mett comes in and is accurate.

Maybe there is some worry that the problem may be Miles and not Crowton? We just signed one up for seven more years and let the other one go. I think LSU made the right choice FWIW.

The JJ fanboys know that the new OC will have him holding a clipboard. This makes them upset.

Not from me. I was against the Crowton hire from the beginning and was vocal about it. I couldn't be happier that he's finally GONE!

Some of it has to do with our collective fear that Les will make a so-so or non-flashy hire.

On top of that, I think a lot of people are being sentimental about Crowton's 2007 offense and the fact that we went 11-2 without a good offense this year, wondering if 2011 would have been different.

No remorse here, but like Mascona said, no matter who the OC is, Les will run the offense when he feels the need to, and as the head coach he should.

Yeah for those who think JJ will start next year...its a whole another ball game now...everyone will have a fresh slate at spring but I think we all know who will shine

Or maybe JJ will flourish like Dixon did at Oregon once Crowton departed.
