Does anyone seriously doubt that Miles would have that job if in fact he wanted it? Don't get caught up in semantics about "offers"; that's not the way the deals get done.

Unless something goes wrong after the fact, you don't make an offer unless you know it will be accepted.

I firmly believe that Miles could have had the job both in 2007 and today.

But Michigan seems to be a ship without a rudder (or a captain).

They will land Hoke and look fine. The Les Miles situation seems to have too many political threads running through it for him to ever end up there. Sounds like Les (and Belowpar) knew that.

Hoke or choke in my opinion.

I think Hoke is a good option for them. If I were Michigan, I would be happy with him...

I actually do not think he was offered the job in 2007, carr was still way too involved at that point and its no secret that carr hates Miles. I think he was offered the job this time and chose not to take it.

This.

5 years from now, Michigan may be sending us a big Thank You card.

Hoke has upside potential. Miles was a safer play with less upside potential.

Michigan will be fine.

You do not believe Michigan was after Les Miles this time? Rediculous.

Cmon Chicken...

I like you, and respect your board....but dont try to sugar coat it.

Brady doesnt even so much as get interviewed at another "big time" gig. I dont care what the past 3 yrs have been for us.

If we werent going to get a top notch coach, then you get the best top notch co-ordinator.

A Hoke hire is nepotism squared....aka the Good Ole Boy Network.

Our fans have laughed at WVU over the Stewert hire due to it. Talk about egg on the face.

Would you be happy with Hoke for LSU? There is a list of people about 40 long that I would take over Hoke

not thrilled. UM needs to slowly back away from the "michigan man" themed hires. Find a guy you want, that fits your program, and go pay him what he wants. Period.
