Of the three metnioned Malzahn is the only one worth taking a chance on. And anyone who thought Saban was not a good hire just didn't follow college football much other than watching LSU.
Tru-dat.
Saban had MSU trending up and had a great year at MSU prior to us hiring him. Anyone who followed college fb knew Saban was a recruiting stud if you remember some of the serious talent he pulled out of places like Florida to of all places East Lansing.
As for Malzahn, I don't think he is a product of Cam Newton. I think he is a great OC. But, that doesn't mean he will be a great HC.

I need to see some more success post Cam before I jump on the Gus bus. His success in Arkansas High School ball is pretty meh to me considering 5A Arky Ball is about the equivalent to 2A Texas...That and Springdale was about 2x bigger than any other school in 5A while he was there.
How were you able to sign up for an account when you obviously can't use the google function or read previous posts on this thread?

Tubbs - seriously?????
Pelini = bad recruiting
Malzahn = lets see what he's about without Cam Newton.

I'll say this about Malzahn. He stopped chizik from kicking the field goal with :10 left last night and giving Oregon an opportunity at getting the ball back and a kick return.
how do you know it was Malzahn? I couldn't believe that they were going to kick with 10 seconds and two timeouts left...
yeah, and his play was victory formation. if you go back out to run a play. try for the t.d. by running the ball then call time out.

We understand youre in love with Gus. Its ok, you don't have to throw a tantrum, we just want to see what he does after Scam leaves him.

It's ultimately the head coaches decision. Chizik chose to kick it with ten seconds left on third down. Malzahn ran over to him trying, seemingly, to run another play. They lined up as if they were going to take a knee and Cam then tried to run it up the middle.

I like Pelini as a coach, but I heard he can't recruit...plus I don't like his crying like Spurrier on the sideline

True...but I think the ceiling for him is higher than the other two you posted.
The other guys are defensive guys...we've seen you can at least survive in BR with a piss poor offense. But a bad defense??? You will get ran out of town. I think he would be a Sean Payton type HC. Call his plays and hire a defensive guy to run that side of the ball.

Not a tantrum I just don't understand how posters are so fricking clueless. He's not at the top of my list, but he's certainly someone that has done amazing things as an OC for the last four years. Somehow, however, dumbfricks on the rant tend to think his career started in Springdale and went straight to Cam Newton at Auburn. Sorry if I find those posters to be retarded.

Or you could just see what he did before "Scam" got there

We need to sticky his bio so these rantards start reading it before posting. Like I said, I'm fine if you don't want an OC as your coach. Personally, however, I am not of the belief LSU can realistically get every coach in the country and Malzahn is both realistic and has a good resume. People have lost all rational thought during this process.

If this is our STARTING list, I rather just keep Miles.

That's a given for me. Just not sure how attainable the other names are considering the timing of all of this.

Amen! He's not my number one choice (Patterson is) but i think we have a better chance at getting Malzahn than Patterson. All this talk about after Cam is asinine. The guy had Chris Todd (I repeat Chris Todd) as the number 18th ranked QB in passing effiency. AU also ranked 13th in the nation in rushing his first year there. With those numbers (and our defense) LSU would probably be the one holding up that crystal football this year.
